Numbers On Trolleys at UHL More Than Doubled Over Weekend

The number of patients waiting for a bed at the region’s main hospital has more than doubled over the weekend.

There are 51 people on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick today according to the INMO – up from 22 on Friday.

It’s the highest number in the country once again, with Cork University Hospital being the next highest with 44 people waiting for a bed.

It comes on a day when 307 patients in total are on trolleys in facilities across the country.
