The Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival draws to a close this weekend, after delivering its annual economic boost to the North Clare town.

Numbers attending the month-long event are said to be up, with an increase in international visitors to the world-famous festival of love.

The upsurge in attendance is believed to be driven, in part, by the improving economic situation.
