The number of people in Clare seeking unemployment benefit saw a marginal increase last month.
The latest data released by the Central Statistics Office shows men aged 25 or over account for almost 90% of those claiming social welfare in this county.
In the month of October, there were 3,626 people on the Live Register in Clare.
This indicates a 4% rise from the previous month when the figure was 3,497.
Of those claiming unemployment benefit last month, 54% were male while the remaining 46% were female.
Ennis once again had the longest dole queues in Clare with 1,709 signing on there, followed by Kilrush, Ennistymon and Tulla.
Men aged 25 or over accounted for 88% of those on the Live Register in October with women in the same age bracket making up 41% of the total number.
