The number of children living in homelessness in the Midwest has risen by 10% in the space of a month.
New Department of Housing data has revealed there were 224 child dependents residing in homeless accommodation across Clare and Limerick in February.

The total number of homeless adults in this county last month was 95 which was down two on the previous month.
Nationwide, there were 15,378 people homeless in February which is the highest figure ever recorded.
