The number of new private cars registered in Clare has fallen by a quarter in the last four years.
New CSO figures show 3,928 vehicles were documented here in 2021, compared to 5,270 back in 2017.

The most common engine size in cars registered here last year was between 1.6 and 2 litres, with just 162 vehicles with an engine greater than that size being documented.
The most popular brand in Clare in 2021 was Ford, followed by Volkswagen, Toyota and Hyundai.
