The number of patients being treated for COVID-19 at the region’s main hospital has fallen by more than a third in the past week.
There were 73 patients with the virus in University Hospital Limerick as of last night, compared to 115 seven days ago.

11 people are receiving critical care with the disease at the Dooradoyle facility – down from 19 last week.
Meanwhile, UHL is once again the most overcrowded hospital in the country, with 50 patients waiting for a bed there.
34 of these patients are in trolleys, with a further 16 people located in overflow areas of wards.
