Number Of Clare People Referred To TUS Scheme Drops By Two Thirds Since 2018

The number of people referred to the Tus scheme in Clare by the Department of Social Protection has fallen by nearly two thirds in the last three years.

New figures released through the Oireachtas reveal 152 people in this county were referred to the scheme in 2018, compared to 58 last year.

51 people in Clare have been selected for participation in the community work placement scheme so far in 2021, which is said to provide short-term working opportunities for unemployed people.
