Number Of BEAM Scheme Applications In Clare Fifth Highest In Country

The number of farmers to have applied for support under the Beef Exceptional Aid Measure scheme in Clare this year is the fifth highest in the country.

225 people in this county are looking to the Department of Agriculture for assistance under the initiative, which gives temporary financial aid to beef farmers in Ireland.

Only active herd owners who are members of at least one environmental scheme already are entitled to BEAM support.
