The National Transport Authority is reassuring that work is continuing to upgrade bus stops in Shannon Town.
It comes amid calls for upgrades including seating and shelter at two stops close to SS Peter and Paul’s Church.

The NTA says in partnership with Clare County Council, it’s leading an upgrade project for Bus Stops on the 343 Bus Route, that to date several bus stops have already been upgraded in Shannon Town under this project and that the two stops near the church are included in this project.
Shannon Resident Lynsey Casey Prenderville, who uses a rollator to help with mobility, believes as it stands, facilities are lacking at those two locations.
