An organisation for the homeless says its seen a 130 per cent rise in demand for its services over the past five years.

Limerick-based Novas Initiatives, which operates in a number of counties in the Mid-West region including Clare, provided support to over 2,200 people in 2014 compared to 961 in 2010.
The organisation's annual report says 56 per cent of people accessing a Novas facility, were doing so for the first time.
Communications and Development Officer Una Burns says a considerable number of those were families.
