Norton Elected As New Mayor Of Ennis

Independent Councillor Ann Norton has been elected the new Mayor of the Ennis Municipal District.

The Barefield-based representative was proposed for the role unanimously by her fellow councillors and will hold the post for 12 months.

She replaces Clarecastle-based Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy in the role, who has been elected to the role of Deputy Mayor of the District.
