A Clare Independent candidate has expressed her disappointment over what she decribes as "dirty politics" in the run up to the general election.

Councillor Ann Norton says claims that she's in receipt of in excess of 100,000 euro in wages from the Clare Crusaders Clinic have come to light while canvassing in the county.
She says she has never taken a wage from the clinic, having become involved as a result of her experiences as a carer for her daughter.
Councillor Norton has told Clare FM's Morning Focus that she's proud of the fact that a service is being provided locally that isn't available anywhere else in the country and she insists that information on spending there is available to the public.
