A North Clare hotel is been recognised for its eco-friendly work at the IBEC Environmental Awards for 2016.

Hotel Doolin finished as runner-up in the Environment Managemental section and now qualifies to compete in the EU European Business Awards.
Much of the work was spearheaded by Green Manager at Hotel Doolin Raquel Noboa.
She says a number of small measures have been put in place over the last few years.
