A North Clare Councillor claims members of the public should not be deterred from visiting Lahinch this week.
On the advice of the HSE Clare County has issued an advisory do not swim notice for the town’s prominent beach.

It comes as routine bathing samples have detected elevated levels of bacteria in the bathing water.
Ennistymon Fianna Fáil Councillor Shane Talty says while the latest warning is disappointing, there are still plenty of activities for tourists to avail in Lahinch and its surrounding areas.
