North Clare Councillor Calls For ‘More Power’ To Be Given To Local Communities

A North Clare Councillor is calling for ‘more power’ to be given to local communities nationwide as the country emerges from the pandemic.

It follows new research from UCC and TU Dublin that suggests those living in rural areas and in public housing were among the hardest hit by COVID-19.

Discussions continue around future planning for Clare’s society and the local economy, with the publication of the County Development Plan having been delayed until next year.
