Croplink was established in Ballyvaughan 15 years ago by former Shell Agrochemicals Manager Jim Droney and had net assets of €3 million at the end of 2014.
It's been confirmed that the company is to be taken over by Cork-based Goldcrop following a deal recently agreed between the pair, once the sale has been approved by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
Both Mr Droney and his colleague Thomas Delaney are to stay on with the company.
