North Clare Climate Activist Says Work To Be Done On Instilling ‘Trust’ In Rural Public Transport

A North Clare climate activist believes work needs to be done on instilling trust in public transport in rural areas.

The government has extended the 50% discount for buses and trains for students aged between 19 and 23 in an effort to reduce the number of cars on our roads.

It comes as Germany’s experiment to reduce a monthly train ticket to €9 for all passengers prevented two million tonnes of carbon emissions.
