A prominent North Clare producer is planning to expand its premises.
Burren Distillery has submitted an application to extend its warehouse and provide a new dry store, together with a stainless steel holding tank for pot ale waste.
According to the cover letter from Architect Michael Leahy, the distillery “cannot continue in operation” without a new bonded warehouse as it’s a requirement of revenue for the company to be licensed to sell whiskey.
Clare County Council is due to make a decision by April 7th.
