No Timeline On Delivery Of Ennis Dialysis Unit

There remains no timeline on the delivery of a dialysis unit at Ennis Hospital.

The matter has been raised by Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway in the Seanad following confirmation last September that the tendering process for a Satellite Hemodialysis Unit in Ennis is in motion.

People in Clare seeking renal care currently have to attend University Hospital Limerick or its satellite centre on the Dock Road.

Speaking on behalf of Health Minister Stephen Donnelly in response to Senator Conway, Minister of State Martin Heydon couldn’t offer an expected delivery time on the unit but says it’s a “quality of life issue”.
