Residents of Clare’s unfinished housing estates have been given little hope in their fight for local authorities to resolve a lack of lighting in their areas
Calls had been made on Clare County Council to provide lighting in unfinished housing estates where developers had gone to the wall.

However, the local authority says it’s not in a position to spend more than the 55 thousand euro it currently sets aside for the taking in charge process
With some Councillors claiming that some Clare residents have been left in limbo, Sixmilebridge representative John Crowe regards this as a public safety issue.
