Clare native Liam Jegou says it has been a ‘fantastic experience’ to compete in his second Olympic Games in Paris this year.
Haling from Ballyvaughan, Jegou finished 7th in the men’s slalom C-1 event, with a two second penalty denying him a silver medal on that occassion.

Jegou also competed in the men’s kayak cross event but was unable to progress to a quarter final not qualifying from his heat.
Despite just missing out on a medal, Jegou claims he has no regrets about his time in Paris.
