No Plans To Bring Modular housing to Clare

There are no plans at present to bring modular housing to Clare.

So-called 'posh prefabs' have been put on display in Dublin this week, and are being proposed as a solution to homelessness in the city.

The homes can be built faster and are cheaper than traditional housing, but Clare County Council says it's not considering using them here, though it will be guided by Department policy in this area.

Niamh Randall of the Simon Communities of Ireland feels the move in Dublin is a good proposal.
