The Diocese of Killaloe has no plans to ban funerals on Sundays, for now.
The practice of funerals on Sundays has come to an end in Kerry, due to a shortage of priests.

And while the Diocese of Killaloe has the highest level of trainee priests entering Maynooth this year, the two seminarians does not meet the ongoing decline .
A total of five priests from the Diocese are now training in Maynooth, but Communications Officer with the Diocese Fr Brendan Quinlivan admits the low numbers may ultimately have a knock on effect in the future.
