Election posters could soon become a thing of the past in County Clare after Councillors here voted overwhelmingly to have them banned.

As a result of the decision, the Council will now call on all candidates for the forthcoming general election not to put up posters in a bid to get the support of the electorate.
Lissycasey Fianna Fail councillor, P.J. Kelly believes posters make little difference to peoples' opinions.
