Residents of an unfinished Ardnacrusha housing estate have been dealt a blow, as they’ve been told the money isn’t there to complete works.
Manor Grove is a development of 12 houses and has been in need of remedial works for several years, with public safety issues reported there in 2011 as a result of unfinished works.

The local authority says bond monies tied to the estate are limited to just under €7,000 so any works identified in an upcoming inspection will need to be prioritised.
This falls far below the expected costs and South-East Clare Fianna Fáil Councillor Cathal Crowe insists it’s not good enough.
