University Hospital Limerick remains by far the most overcrowded facility in the country today.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation recorded 104 patients on trolleys at the Dooradoyle facility during this morning’s rounds.

The figure is 70% above that of the next busiest hospital at University College Hospital Galway where 61 patients are withot a bed.

It comes on a day where 556 patients have been recorded without a bed, including 3 at Ennis General Hospital.
