No non-domestic property examined this year received the highest energy efficiency rating.
According to the latest Central Statistics Office report, Clare was one of four counties nationwide not to receive any A BER grade.
A non-domestic premises is defined as any property that is not used for residential purposes.
Longford, Leitrim and Tipperary were the other three counties not to record any such premises with an A Building Energy Rating.
Last year, 13 A Building Energy Ratings were awarded in Clare, with the county set to fall well short of this mark, if trends continue.
C was once again the most prevalent rating in 2026 to date, with 12 properties attributed the mid-range rating.
Six premises received the lowest possible grade of G, with a further two properties awarded an F rating.
This eclipses last year’s overall total for G grades, with just three handed out in the entirety of 2025.
