The number of housing starts in Clare has soared once again following a summer lull.
New data shows there was a nine-fold increase in the number of residential projects commenced in this county in September.
Just seven commencement notices were issued to Clare County Council over the month and although that figure is unchanged from the total in August, it yielded a much greater return.
In total, construction began on 53 residential properties in this county in September, including five one-off homes.
So far this year, works have got underway on over 636 new houses in Clare, which has already surpassed the full total for 2023 by 13%, with three months of projects yet to be recorded.
When compared to the same juncture of last year, activity in this county is currently 39% ahead.
Of the homes commenced in Clare this year, 193 are one-off developments, which is also running 31% ahead of last year’s progress.
