More than €119,000 in funding has been awarded to nine coastal communities in Clare.
The grants, which are co-funded by the government and the EU, will go towards a number of marine projects around the county.

Over €45,000 has been granted to Clare County Council for the upgrade of the New Quay car park, while the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group has been awarded almost €21,000 for their research into the River Shannon dolphins.
The Shannon Wetlands Restoration Project, Loophead Tourism, Scattery Island Tours, the Burren Smokehouse and Querrin Pier car park have been been granted funding for projects too.
