Ní Riada Calls On Government To Ban Unfair Cattle Trading Practice

An Ireland South MEP is calling on the government to immediately ban unfair trading practices that’s driving down prices for beef farmers.

It follows a meeting held in Ennis this week, where farmers expressed concern about the future of their sector, with tariffs expected to be put on imports to the UK in the event of a no deal Brexit.

This comes at a time when suckler farmers are already under strain as they battle with low prices in the marts.
