Meanwhile, it’s expected to be next Monday before Clare County Council reveals which, if any, of the presidential hopefuls it’s giving its backing to.
Six potential nominees made their cases to Councillors here on Friday last, including Sean Gallagher and Senator Freeman who have now secured the required number of nominations.
Both could now withdraw their names from consideration as a result.
