Heartfelt tributes are being paid to a very special member of Newmarket-On-Fergus GAA Club.
Springer Spaniel ‘Snoop Pender’ passed away this week and has been remembered for his uncanny ability to find lost sliothars in the long grass, and his efforts are estimated to have saved the club a small fortune.
Snoop was first brought to Newmarket pitch as a puppy where he honed his craft, and would go on to retrieve up to 200 sliothars per year, keeping the supply intact for the Club’s Junior hurling teams.
