New Tulla Amphitheatre Will Be A Gamechanger For East Clare Says Minister

The Minister for Rural and Community Development has described the new auditorium and cultural centre in Tulla as a “gamechanger” for East Clare.

Minister Heather Humpheys is visiting the county today to officially open the new amphitheatre at Cnoc na Gaoithe.

The project has benefitted from 900,000 euro in Rural Development and Regeneration funding, as well as a further 450,000 euro under the Town and Village fund and the Leader Programme.

It’s almost a decade since the site on Church Street was donated by the Sisters of Mercy, with members of the local community, local representatives, Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Éireann and Clare County Council working together to bring the project to fruition.

Minister Humphreys says the new outdoor seated arena, which will cater for musical cultural and arts events, will benefit people of all ages for decades to come.
