Controversial speed limit changes on the main artery into West Clare are being defended by a local representative, as the first step towards getting the entire route upgraded.
There’s growing anger over the decision to implement 11 speed changes on the 43km road, with a local solicitor describing it as “the greatest threat to West Clare, since the foundation of the state”.
