Major Boost For Shannon With Announcement Of Two New Routes

Shannon has received a major boost with the announcement of two new services, including new direct flights to Toronto in Canada.

Air Canada will operate the new service four days a week from June to October next year, while, Ryanair is to add a twice weekly service to Barcelona Reus from March until the end of October.

Managing Director of Shannon Airport, Andrew Murphy has been speaking to Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill and says that the future is looking bright for the airport.


Today’s announcement of new flights to Toronto has been welcomed by Tourism Ireland, who believe it will lead to a significant boost for both leisure and business tourism from Canada to Shannon.

Canadian Ambassador to Ireland Kevin Vickers believes the flight will help strengthen the bond between both countries.
