New Search Area For Missing Malaysian Plane

Malaysia Airlines says the western coast of the country is now the focus of the hunt for its missing flight.

The new search location is the opposite side of Malaysia from where the Boeing 777 was reported missing on Saturday with 239 people on board.

One line of inquiry is that the plane may have flown on for some time after deviating from its flight path.

Boeing has joined search teams while China is deploying as many as 10 satellites in the hope of tracking it down.

Officials now also say that terrorism is looking less likely as a reason for the plane's disappearance, as one of the men who boarded the aircraft with a stolen passport is identified as a 19-year-old from Iran who is not believed to have any links with a terrorist group.
