17 people were homeless in Clare in May this year.
New figures from the Environement Department also show that 39 children in the mid-west were without a home at the end of that month.
The Department of the Environment's latest Housing and Homless report shows that in all, 211 people in Clare and Limerick were homeless in the last week of May.
Of those, 22 were adults, 39 were children and 16 were single parent families.
118 of those were between the ages of 25 and 44 and two thirds were male.
15 people were housed in Private Emergency Accommodation including hotels, B&Bs and other residential facilities, while 184 stayed in Supported Temporary Accommodation with onsite professional support.
17 adults were from Clare alone, a figure that has risen by one since April but is two lower than the March figure.
But, the General Manager of Midwest Simon, Jackie Bonfield says the figures don't tally with what the organisation is seeing on the ground.
