New Poll Puts Fine Gael Ahead Of Fianna Fail

A new opinion poll shows Fine Gael has pulled ahead of Fianna Fáil for the first time in eight months.

The results from the Red C poll for the Sunday Business Post shows Fine Gael are actually unchanged on 25 – but a slight drop in support for Fianna Fáil shows them drop back 2 points to 24.

Michael Brennan, the Political Editor of the Sunday Business Post says it will be welcome news for Taoiseach Enda Kenny.

Sinn Fein are up three points to 16,  the triple-A-PBP fall from 9 points to 5, the Independent Alliance is down two points to 4 per cent, with other independents up 2 points to 12.

Labour are unchanged on 5, the Social Democrats are on 4, the Greens are on 3, and Renua on 1
