New parking is to be opened at University Hospital Limerick in the coming days.
An underground car park is to open at the hospital, complete with 170 spaces, and the vast majority of these will be for the use of patients and visitors.

However, the new car park will only lead to an additional 80 spaces on top of what is currently available at Dooradoyle.
The remainder will be offset by the closure of an interim car park at a former helipad, though efforts are ongoing to re-open this on a permanent basis by November.
