Its claimed there's a new sense of optimism in Miltown Malbay following the opening of Clonbony Bridge.

The West Clare bridge, which is on the main N67 road, had been closed for almost eight weeks after flooding led to structural damage at the base of one of its arches.
Businesses say the closure led to a 75 per cent drop in custom, job losses and in some cases significant reductions in wages.
Chairman of the West Clare Municipal District, Councillor Christy Curtin says Miltown is re-opened for businesss and that there's a renewed sense of optimism in the town:
