New Minister Dooley Hoping To Drive Clare Offshore Wind Projects Forward

Clare’s first Minister of State in five years says one of his key ambitions in office will be to realise this county’s offshore wind potential.

Tulla Deputy Timmy Dooley will take up Junior Minister positions at the Departments of Agriculture and the Environment, with special responsibilities for Fisheries and the Marine, respectively.

A Designated Maritime Area Plan (D-MAP) is set to be developed for Clare this year, which will enable sites to be zoned for offshore wind projects.

Minister Dooley says its completion will be prioritised.
