Clare will get a new Mayor this afternoon.
Ennis Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard is expected to be elected into the role, as the term of Fianna Fáil’s Clare Colleran Molloy comes to an end.
She’s been in the role since February, when she was co-opted into the position after Cathal Crowe’s election into the Dáil.
