A new Housing Assistance Payment will come on stream in Clare.

The scheme will allow the Council to provide housing assistance for families who qualify supports, with the amount of money paid dependant on a person's income.
It has already been trialled in a number of other areas, including Limerick, and it's hoped that the change will reduce Clare's houring list from its current level of 3,000.
