The Clareman who has taken temporary helm of the Limerick City of Culture project says he’s confident it will be a success, despite the controversy which has dogged it to date.

Clonmoney-native Mike Fitzpatrick, who has worked as Head of Limerick School of Art and Design, was appointed as Interim Head of City of Culture following the resignations of Artistic Director Karl Wallace and CEO Patricia Ryan.
He says their focus is now on driving the plan forward, and offering a wide range of events between now and the end of the year.
