A new support service to assist people dealing with harmful gambling has opened its doors in Ennistymon.
The facility, which is a collaboration between the Gambling Awareness Trust and the Family Resource Centre National Forum, will be available in the Northwest Clare Family Resource Centre.

There are an estimated 55,000 problem gamblers in Ireland.
Eamonn Lodge, who’s a Counsellor based at the Northwest Clare Family Resource Centre, says online gambling has exacerbated the issue.
