New Fire Safety Task Force Introduced

A new task force has been created to carry out an assessment of Ireland’s fire safety systems, in the wake of the Grenfell Tower disaster.

The Task Force consists of senior representatives from national and local government as well as Dublin’s Chief Fire Officer.

Announcing the task force Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy said tests are being extended countrywide, on cladding on residential buildings over 6 storeys.
