New Family Hub To Help Clare Homeless From Early 2019

A family hub for the homeless in Clare is one step closer to fruition.

Clare County Council has entered into an agreement with Novas Ireland, who will operate the facility in Ennis which is expected to be operational by late Spring.

The hub will accommodate up to six families, and will act as a bridge between emergency accommodation such as hotels and social housing for those most in need.

Head of Policy and Communications with Novas, Una Burns says it’s a recognition by Clare County Council of the significant issue of child homelessness but she says it’s only a temporary measure.
