New Clare Suicide Prevention Strategy Launched

A new suicide prevention strategy is aiming to curb deaths by suicide in Clare.

Those behind the Connecting for Life plan, a multi-agency plan for all of the MidWest, has appealed for people and communities to spread a message of positive mental health.

Today, Clare Gardaí have revealed the scale of suicides in the county – their figures show 44 people have taken their lives since the start of 2014, and that there have also been 104 attempted suicides.
