New Chief Super Takes Up Position In Clare From Today

Clare’s new Chief Superintendent is taking up his post from today.

Michael Gubbins will take over the top job in the Clare Garda Division, as John Kerin’s successor, who retired in January.

A native of Kilmallock in Limerick, Chief Superintendent Gubbins has 30 years of experience in the force, and holds an expertise in the area of computer forensics and cyber crime.

He takes over a time of change in the policing of Clare, with a new computer aided dispatch control room in Galway now responsible for deploying mobile resources across the region, including the Clare Garda Division.
