New chapel gates have been erected in Cooraclare to honour one of the county’s most admired traditional musicians.
Martie Marrinan passed away in March 2011 and was renowned for his concert flute playing, set dancing and singing.

Best known for his rendition of ‘The Chapel Gates of Cooraclare’, the new gates have now been installed in his honour.
Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus, long time friend, Michael Meade who donated the gates, says there’s no more fitting a way to honour Martie.
